Practice Director, Senior Physiotherapist
I founded Optimise Physio in 2010 with the aim of introducing a holistic style of physiotherapy to Hawke’s Bay. Not a day goes by where I don’t see the enormous impact that stress and lifestyle factors play in illness and pain, which is why I have spent the last ten years immersing myself in Mind-Body Medicine.
In my day-to-day work, I most enjoy spending time with my clients; getting to know them and understanding how they tick and how best I can help them with their needs. I am not afraid to talk to you about your nutrition, your fitness goals, the worries that you may be having or anything else for that matter!
Outside of work, I enjoy Hockey and making the most of the Hawke’s Bay outdoor lifestyle.
Clinical Director, Senior Physiotherapist
I oversee clinical outcomes at Optimise Physio ensuring that we continue to get the very best results for our clients and to stay ‘top of our game’. I am an avid learner and enjoy nothing more that researching and learning the very best ways to help people get out of pain, recover from injury and return to living a full and active life.
What I most enjoy about my work is being able to take a broad approach when it comes to helping my clients achieve success by addressing the key factors impacting their condition- be it nutrition, sleep deprivation, high-stress levels, incorrect or incomplete injury education and management, or lack of fitness and conditioning.
When I am not at work, I am a passionate piano player, love long-distance chats with my Irish whānau, and enjoy exploring the Hawke’s Bay trails.
Senior Physiotherapist, Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation
My true skills and talent lie in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and Clinical Pilates. I have worked with world-ranked athletes in a variety of disciplines including golf, tennis, rowing, skiing and netball. I enjoy bringing the same philosophy of treatment to my current clinical practice of ensuring the client knows what needs to be done to not only treat but create long-term change and empower people to take responsibility for their health and well-being.
Outside of work, I enjoy being an active mum and spending time in the sunny outdoor and relaxed way of life here in the Bay.
Senior Physiotherapist, Pain and Injury Rehabilitation
Over the last number of years, I have been working with clients in acute and persistent pain to reclaim their lives. I have seen the power of spending time with my clients and helping them develop a greater understanding of everything going on around their injury and pain experience, and empowering them to work towards their goals and better wellbeing. I am currently doing post graduate study into pain and pain management, yes a bit of a painiac!
Outside of work I love my weight training and functional training at the gym, and enjoying the Hawke’s Bay lifestyle.

I share the reception role with Abby and we both work together to ensure our clients receive the right treatment at the right time to help them get out of pain and return to living an active life. Having ran my own successful business in the past, I know exactly what is needed to achieve an outstanding service.
